Bus ducts up to 8,000 amp rating are totally enclosed type having robust construction. Bus ducts are designed to provide ease of inspection & maintenance.

Enclosure type can be designed to suit indoor or outdoor installation. Space heaters, silica gel breathers are provided to minimize moisture content inside the bus duct. Individual bus sections are properly joined to minimize voltage drop & avoid heating. Flexible connections are used at end termination points. Rubber bellows can also be provided at termination point against specific requirements.

Expansion joints are used if straight length of any section exceeds 6 mtr.

Suitable sized earth bus is provided from out side at the bottom which runs parallel to the bus duct.

FRP shielding plates are used in wall crossing units to ensure plant safety.
Bus bars of copper or aluminum are selected to meet the continuous current rating and desired short circuit levels in single tier or double tier dispositions and in both interleaved and non-interleaved dispositions.
